The globe theory of space
According to the Big Bang Theory, the formation of the heavenly bodies is a process that took billions of years and led to the existence of thousands of galaxies, stars, and planets in endless open space. This process has not ended even to this day.
The earth is also claimed to have come into existence more than 4 billion years ago. It is purported to be a speck of dust among the endless multitude of space. The sun is said to be a huge, powerful star that is far away from us and has the power to control all the bodies in the Solar System. The Firmament of heaven is claimed to be a mere vacuum that affects the events on the earth and above the earth.
The acceptance of the heliocentric model of a globe that spins around the sun is a concealed form of the evolution theory. Every element of this model is a form of evolution and directly opposed to the Bible account of Creation that we find in Genesis chapter 1. Let us look at the propositions of this theory:
Everything in space comes into existence by itself and is sufficient in itself, with no order, no purpose, no government. As it is claimed that it took billions of years for the things in space to appear, so it is claimed that the living nature on Earth took millions of years to evolve into its present state. According to this theory, man has also come into existence through millions of years of evolution from the monkey.
The Bible truth about the heaven-and-earth complex
The truth about the creative works of God is manifest in the visible world. God demands and expects that we know and understand both his moral laws and his creative precepts and works.
“By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; And all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.” Ps. 33:6.
God commanded and the sun, moon, stars, and heavens were made.
“Praise ye him, sun and moon: Praise him, all ye stars of light. Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, And ye waters that be above the heavens. Let them praise the name of the LORD : For he commanded, and they were created.” Ps. 148:3-5.
The Firmament is a masterpiece of God’s creative work and the psalmist points our attention to it as he calls us to behold the wonderful works of God:
“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.” Ps. 19:1.
“The heavens declare his righteousness, And all the people see his glory.” Ps. 97:6.
How is the truth established in the heavens and how do they reveal the glory and the creative power of God if the Creation account of Genesis chapter 1 is allegorical and the sky is mere vacuum?
The earth – center of creation
The earth, and not the sun, is the center of the creation of Genesis chap. 1, because the earth was made first, and then the Firmament, and then (in Day 4) the lights, which include the sun. They are purposed to serve above the earth, within (or inside) the Firmament.
There is no record of the existence of another center of the creation of God’s hands, except for the earth, in the heaven-earth complex. In our enclosed system, the center of creation is the earth, and not the sun.
And there is something even more significant and amazing about the creation of our world – that God is just above our heaven-earth complex, close to us – nearer than we ever expected:
“The LORD is high above all nations, And his glory above the heavens.” Ps. 113:4.
From the next two verses of Psalm 113, we learn that though His throne is high above us, he still condescends “to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth”.
There are Christians who think that there is a Firmament but there aren’t any waters above the Firmament, because they suppose that the waters were poured out upon the earth during the great Flood. But several scriptures that were written after the flood plainly declare that there are still waters above the Firmament. This we are told by the writers in the book of Psalms:
“The voice of the LORD is upon the waters: The God of glory thundereth: The LORD is upon many waters.” Ps. 29:3.
“Praise ye the LORD . Praise ye the LORD from the heavens: Praise him in the heights.” Ps. 148:4.
See also Psalm 18:16 and Job 38:34. In the New Testament text of 2 Peter 3 we read:
“For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water…” 2 Pet. 3:5-7.
Yet the scientific theory of the Big Bang, the concentration of matter and energy, the enormous speeds of travel, the multitude of galaxies, the boundless open space, etc. are being held by the (so-called) science as a god who can create grand cosmic projects, in the place of the finished creation by the living and Almighty God of the heaven and earth.
The Big Bang theory vs the Bible
The Big Bang theory claims that the constantly widening space has no center. It states that the universe is constantly expanding and this is why the stars are getting more and more distant from one another, and new stars and galaxies are being formed at this very time. Everything moves in all directions, without any order. Events happen by themselves. There is no organization.
The creation that was made of God in Genesis chapter 1 has one center and this center is the earth. The earth has a special place in the mind of God. The earth, with man in it, is the crowning act of his creative power. And man was created in the image of God. The Only-Begotten Son of God lived upon the earth and redeemed mankind with his blood. The creation that God made was planned, organized, and is constantly upheld by the Creator himself.
A choice that involves eternal consequences
An acceptance of the “scientific” theory constitutes a total rejection and doubt in God and the thousands of proofs of His power, His creative capabilities, the truth of His Word, His relation to us, His loving care, and His physical closeness to the earth.
The scientific theory of a globe that revolves around the sun is praise and belief in the might, dimensions, and centrifugal forces of a star – the sun. Christians are waiting for the seal of God to be placed on their faces, and yet in their hearts, they believe in the same cult to the sun that is manifest in Sunday worship, now presented in another form: the heliocentric model. How do we reconcile faith in the living God and Creator and a belief in any or all the claims of human “science”?
There are many Christians who accept a fearful combination of truth and error. They accept some elements of the “scientific” model and some elements of the Bible creation. This is worse than the full acceptance of the “scientific” model because in their mind they combine God’s teaching and the teaching of Satan.
But God and Satan cannot be reconciled. We cannot claim to believe in God’s true creation and at the same time believe in another theory. For example, some people do not accept the Big Bang theory and they believe in the six literal days of Bible Creation. In this situation, there arises a question: What is this faith based on?
The Bible only. Yet they believe that the Earth is a globe that revolves around the sun, that there is no Firmament, that the Earth travels at enormous speeds in the open space, that the stars are at a distance of billions of miles from us, etc. What is their belief in these things based upon? Human theories. We have partly accepted that which is of God and partly accepted the lie of this world. Can we give the message of the everlasting gospel to the world (Rev. 14:6-12) if we have a wrong idea of the true God or the creation he has made?
The difference between the ancient sun worship and that of today consists only in the newly invented “scientific” theories of atheistic scholars that have been accepted by the majority as teachers. Yet this is a fearful deception.
Every Christian who denies the complete, literal creation of Genesis chapter 1, actually supports and believes in the evolution theory and the Big Bang. We cannot believe in the spinning earth of the heliocentric cult of the sun and in the Creation that God made in Genesis chapter 1 at the same time. Everyone has to make their choice: the Word of God or the modern “scientific” theory of man’s devising.
Moreover, we are warned in the Scriptures that we should not accept to believe, worship, adore, or uphold men, objects, animals, or heavenly bodies, which include the sun. Of this, we read in Deuteronomy 4:19 and 32:18.
“… and lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.” Deut. 4:19.

Do we also worship the same idol, only in another packaging?
